About StackSpot
In this section, you will find more details about the StackSpot platform.
About StackSpot
The name StackSpot comes from the combination of two words:
- Stack: It refers to a comprehensive collection of technologies required for an application to function and
- Spot: It refers to a centralized location for sharing these stacks.
StackSpot's goal is to bring development teams together to facilitate collaboration and make the software development process more agile and secure. The platform is versatile, powered by AI-based coding systems, addressing the complexities of modern software development, from legacy system transformation to cloud operations optimization.
StackSpot consists of two main products.
1. StackSpot EDP - Enterprise Developer Platform
The StackSpot Enterprise Developer Platform (EDP) is a platform created for companies and developers to standardize, accelerate, and scale how they work.
This product brings together efficient and secure solutions that work from the first line of code to deployment in production.
You use StackSpot EDP through two channels:
- STK CLI;
- StackSpot Portal.
2. StackSpot AI - Artificial Intelligence
Introducing StackSpot AI, a highly advanced AI assistant that seamlessly incorporates generative AI models into the entire software development lifecycle, including Outer and Inner Loops. Whether you're updating old code, implementing new design patterns, or overseeing the entire development process, StackSpot AI is your ultimate assistant for delivering faster, higher-quality code throughout the development cycle.
You use StackSpot AI through two channels:
- StackSpot AI Portal;
- IDE extension.
Your StackSpot AI account is the same as the one used for StackSpot EDP.
However, if you prefer to use only StackSpot AI, there's no need to create an EDP account. You can create your account directly on the AI Portal.
To sum up
Each platform covers a different aspect of development, despite sharing a common goal of providing efficient and secure tools for companies and developers to achieve speed and quality in their work.
This documentation only covers StackSpot EDP.

StackSpot Accessibility
The StackSpot teams is continuously working to improve and evolve our Design System (Citric) to be more inclusive. We enhance components with appropriate contrast colors and optimize text for easier reading on different devices. StackSpot is continuously improving to meet the WCAG guidelines at AA level.
Our team is collaborating with the Quality Assurance Team to conduct functional and manual tests to enhance accessibility. Soon, we will begin automated tests.
We will soon launch two AAA themes, light and dark modes, emphasizing contrast colors. These initiatives underscore our commitment to providing an accessible and inclusive experience for all users on the StackSpot platform.
Two-Factor Authentication
Regarding Two-Factor Authentication, StackSpot is not responsible for managing accessibility; the client is accountable for it. StackSpot assumes full responsibility only for the 2FA implementation within our IAM.
