Create Environments
In this section, you will find the steps to create environments.
Environments are used by developers to create content within Workspaces, such as Applications, Infrastructures, Connections Interface, etc., separated by development stages like development, quality testing, and homologation.
You need to create environments when using your own cloud account in StackSpot.
Requirements
- You must have Account Holder or Account Admin permission to continue.
- Have an Account: Access the StackSpot EDP Portal and log in to your account.
- Environments created and configured: Set up your Environments at the Account level. This reduces the configuration needed for your team to create Applications, use Stacks, and access all content available from StackSpot in your Workspace.
The settings you configure in Environments are used by the entire company in your Account.
However, the values set for each environment do not communicate with each other. For example, the settings for the Development environment do not affect those of the Production environment.
Steps
Step 1. Access the Account Portal;
Step 2. Click the 'Organization' option;
Step 3. In the Account Portal, click on 'EDP', then click on 'Environments';
Step 4. Click the 'Create Environment' button;
Step 5. Fill in the fields with the following information:
- Name: Add a name for your environment. For example: Development, Homologation, Production;
- What is this Environment for?: Describe the purpose of your environment.
To set it as a production environment, check the 'Set as Production' box.
Step 6. To finish, click the 'Create Environment' button.
Your environments are now created. To configure them, access to the deployment configuration section in your Organization.
