Feature Flags

In this section, you will find details about what a Feature Flag is and how to turn them on or off in StackSpot.

You can turn a Feature Flag on and off for specific functionalities in StackSpot.

This includes:

Release new features to a specific group of users, for example, only to selected customers;
Test and validate features in production without impacting all users;
Quickly disable a functionality if it presents issues.

How to turn a Feature Flag on and off

You can turn a Feature Flag on or off in the StackSpot Account Portal by following the steps below.

Step 1. Access your Organization in the StackSpot Account Portal;

Step 2. Click the ‘Access Management’ section and then ‘Feature Flags’;

Step 3. You will see a list of all registered Feature Flags, including:

The name of each feature;
A brief description;
The availability of the feature, for example, in which Workspaces it is active.

Use filters to easily find what you are looking for:

Filters: filter by name or availability of the Feature Flags, for example, in Applications;
Filter combinations: further refine your search by combining filters by Application name, Studio, Workflow, and Workspace.

Step 4. Select the feature to enable the Feature Flag:

4.1. If the feature is only available at the Account level:

4.2. For Features available in Applications, Studios, Workflows, and Workspaces:

You can choose how to make the Feature Flag available:

For all resources (Applications, Studios, Workflows, and Workspaces);
For specific items. In this case, you need to manually select which Applications, Infrastructures, Studios, Workflows, and Workspaces will have the feature.

Step 5. Select the option you want and click the ‘Save’ button.
