Create Environments
In this section, you will learn how to create environments in your account.
Requirements
Permissions: If you have an Enterprise Account, you must have an Account Holder or Admin permission to continue.
- A StackSpot Account Access the StackSpot platform and log into your account.
- Create and configure environments Configure your Environments at the Account level. You lower the settings for your team to create Applications, use Stacks, and all the content available from StackSpot in your Workspace.
The settings you configure in Environments are used by the whole company in your account. The values you configure do not communicate, for example: The Dev environment settings do not affect the Prod environment.
Create Environments
Please register environments when you use your Cloud account at StackSpot. Developers use environments to create content within Workspaces, such as Applications, Infrastructures, Connections Interface, etc., separately by development stages, such as development, quality testing, and homologation. Creating an environment for each or as many as you need would be best.
Follow the steps below:
Step 1. Log in to your Account and click on the 'Manage Account' button.
Step 2. Go to the section 'Organization' on the left side menu. Click on 'Environments';
Step 3. Click on the 'Create Environment' button;
Step 4. Fill out the fields with the information below:
- Environment Name: Add a name for your environment. For example, Development, Homologation, and Production;
- Description: Describe your environment's goal.
Step 5. Then, click on 'Create Environments'.
Done! You created environments. The next step is to configure them.
