5. Create Studio

In this section, you will find:

• How to create a Studio.

Studio is an entity that manages the creation and distribution of Stacks and their Plugins. It helps the user with Creator's permission to have a way to support the work.

A Studio handles creating, evolving, and maintaining Stacks.

Create your Studio

Requirement

You must have Account Holder or Admin permission.

To Create a Studio, log into your StackSpot website. Go to your Account Dashboard and follow the steps below:

Attention

At this point, your account on the website may have other Studios or be empty.

Step 1. Click on the 'Create Studio' button. A new window appears, and then fill out the following fields:

• Name: Add a name for your Studio.

• Identification (Slug): Include the slug to compose your Studio's URL.

Important

It is not possible to have a Slug with the same ID in two different Studios. When you create a Studio, each one of them must have a Slug with a different ID.

• Description: Describe the purpose of your Studio at StackSpot.

• Studio Logo: Add a logo for your Studio. This is not required.

That's it!

You created your new Studio's Dashboard!

Step 2. Add the Stacks and Teams you need in the Studio. Next, change the Visibility.

Click on the 'Create Stack' button and fill out the following fields:

• Name: Add a name for your Stack.

• Tag (Slug): Include the slug to be on the Stack URL.

• Description: Describe the purpose of your Stack on StackSpot.

Stack logo: Add a logo for your Stack. This is not a required field.

After filling in the fields, review the information and click the Create button.

Step 3. Add a Workspace

To add a Workspace to your Studio, click on the Add Workspace button.

Done!

You published your Studio. Now you can add Plugins to it.

Add Teams to the Studio

After creating a Team in your Account, you can add it to a Studio. And then start creating content in StackSpot.

You can add a Team to a Studio via two sections on the StackSpot website:

1. In the Studio Dashboard.
2. In the Studio Team section.

1. In the Studio's Dashboard

Step 1. Access your Studio Dashboard on the StackSpot website;

Step 2. In the right corner of the screen, under 'Teams', click on the button with the '+' icon;

Step 3. You will see a list of Teams created in your organization;

Step 4. A checkbox shows up on the right side of the screen. Select the teams you want to add to your Studio. You can add one or more Teams;

Step 5. Click on the 'Add selected teams' button;

Done!

You added Teams in your Studio.

2. In the Studio Team section

Step 1. Go to the 'Team' section on the left side of the screen;

Step 2. Click on the 'Add Team' button;

Step 3. A selection box will appear on the right hand side of the screen. Within it, select the teams you want to add to your Studio;

Step 4. Click on the 'Add selected teams' button;

Done!

You added Teams in your Studio.

Important

Only the Studio's creator can add or remove Teams/Users from a Studio.
